I fell in love with the German language and the fantastic faculty in the UPS German Studies Department. During my course of study, I cultivated a love for language learning and linguistics. I am now taking these experiences with me to graduate school, where I am researching language learning technologies.

    Many films try to deal with the grief and trauma of WW2 and the Nazi party. Some films - including Inglorious Basterds, Er ist wieder da, and Jojo Rabbit - tackle the Führer head-on with comedy and caricature. Is this satire appropriate?

Connections Final Project:
Berlin Trip Video

Instead of writing a final paper, I created a music-documentary of the experiences our connections class had during our summer session study abroad in Berlin. We spent a full month in the city, exploring the rich history, culture, and arts scene. Every student lived with a homestay and we were matched based on speaking ability and lifestyle. This trip solidified my desire to become a global citizen and a competent traveler.
